We're taking a trip down to Mountain View, CA for the Real-Time Web Summit organized and hosted by ReadWriteWeb. The one day conference will offer context for conversation about topics from technology to business to philosophy to definition. As demonstrated by the list of attendees, the topic clearly generates breadth of interest across the industry.
Philippe and I had a chance to sit down with Marshall Kirkpatrick for a few hours last week in what ended up being a wide-ranging dialogue from how we stumbled into a Real-Time solution for Black Tonic to our assumed definition of anything "Real-Time". We were one of 50 companies Marshall has recently surveyed, and the fact of the matter is we offer a unique angle of understanding that's not shared by many. One thing everyone agrees on so far is the importance of real-time technology and its emerging effect on all things web. So we're excited to join the dialogue tomorrow, hopefully present on a few topics of interest, and get a chance to demo Black Tonic to the parents of its real-time brothers and sisters.
